Stop the machine at the right moment to create perfect splits!

A perfect split has an equal number of points on both sides of the line. Points on the dividing line are distributed to the side (or sides) that will benefit the player the most. (You can tell if a point is on the line by whether its color is inverted).

Tip: Stopping the divider directly on top of one or more points will make splitting more forgiving, but mistiming it could be deadly!

When a bad split occurs, one life is lost per pair of unbalanced points. When all lives are lost, the game is over. Otherwise, it continues indefinitely. Level 30 is tough to reach.

There will always be an even number of points in a level.

Controls:

  • Enter or Space to SPLIT
  • R to restart

the game doesnt work. you need to fix it.

As far as I can tell it works (tested in Firefox, Chrome, and Edge). Make sure you're using a desktop computer (i.e. not a mobile device) and pressing Enter to start the game.

im using a desktop computer

Excellent Game!

very simple, very adictive. You use those sound effects nicely. This is the only game i've played in the jam so far where the gameplay really feels impulsive, and that's a breath of fresh air. I think you will get very high ratings. Well done!

Really cool entry! It definitely became quite a challenge after level 20 at this resolution. Is there an end to the game? I really enjoyed the polished animation and starting graphics. You really nailed the NOKIA vibe!

Thanks for playing! It goes on forever!

It gets really hard to tell what's happening past like level 10-15, but I guess that's a limitation of the display resolution. The aesthetics, sounds, and idea are pretty good though. Nice stuff.

This would be a cool mobile game!
Concepts cool, sound effects are great, graphics are pleeeeeeeeeeeeeasing (ascetically).

One thing would be, and this might just me being dumb, but I didn't understand what dividing points into equal groups meant straight away, I was trying to split them in half! Obviously this isn't a big problem for a jam game, but if it was a mobile game I'd include the longer instructions from the description on the game page in the game, and maybe a little animation showing an example.
Not really much else to criticize, fun game! :)

Thanks for the nice comment Kadable. Hope you're doing well :). And I agree about the mobile game aspect! The jam unfortunately doesn't allow touch screen inputs (I think..) so I didn't want to risk it, but that might be something I add in the future. And perhaps I can find a way to make the objective more clear in-game, I'll have to think about that
